Nicole Nieto, PhD, is the assistant vice provost for Outreach and Engagement at The Ohio State University. During her more than 20 years at Ohio State, she has held leadership roles across the Offices of Student Life, Human Resources, Research and Academic Affairs. In her current role, Nicole partners with faculty, staff, graduate students and community partners to advance Ohio State's land-grant mission and strengthen universitycommunity relationships.

Nicole leads several university-wide initiatives, including the Engaged Scholars Academy, multiple communities of practice, and Ohio State Energy Partners (OSEP) academic collaborations. She also oversees major institutional programs such as awards and grants for engaged scholarship and Buckeyes for Charity, the university's employee giving campaign, which raises more than $1 million annually.

Nicole serves as the institutional representative for the Engagement Scholarship Consortium and is vice-chair for the webinar committee.

In addition to her administrative leadership, Nicole is a senior lecturer in the Department of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, where she teaches courses on community and leadership. She holds degrees in International Studies and Gender Studies. Before joining Ohio State, Nicole served as the assistant director of International Student and Scholar Services at the University of Alabama.
