Engaged Scholars Academy inaugural cohort
The Office of Outreach and Engagement kicked off the Engaged Scholars Academy with its first meeting at the Fawcett Center at the end of August. The one-year cohort-based leadership and professional development initiative is aimed at strengthening engaged scholarship at Ohio State and building relationships between community partners and faculty.

Funded by the Mellon Foundation, Spark Grants provide seed funding for community-engaged arts projects. The competition is open to faculty, students and staff members on any Ohio State campus for projects that center the arts and that are done in partnership with community organizations. Proposals involving communities served by our regional campuses are especially welcome and will receive priority consideration. Proposals are due March 13.

Register now and plan to join Kansas State University President Richard Linton as he delivers the 2026 James F. Patterson Land-Grant University Lecture on April 16. The registration deadline is March 31.
Dr. Richard H. Linton is the 15th president of Kansas State University, serving in the role since February 2022. At Kansas State, Linton has led the creation and implementation of Next-Gen K-State, a strategic plan that will guide the university through 2030 and beyond.

The Engagement Scholarship Consortium (ESC) offers webinars and online professional development, as well as networking opportunities for faculty, practitioners, graduate students and university leaders throughout the year. These opportunities are offered exclusively to individuals affiliated with ESC member institutions, including Ohio State.
