Engaged Scholars Academy wraps first year
The inaugural class of the Engaged Scholars Academy at The Ohio State University is nearing the end of the program. Representing disciplines such as optometry, dance, social work, city planning, and more, the 16 faculty members met regularly over the last academic year to hear from speakers and engage with their colleagues.

Professional development opportunities from the Engagement Scholarship Consortium
The Engagement Scholarship Consortium (ESC) offers webinars and online professional development, as well as networking opportunities for faculty, practitioners, graduate students and university leaders throughout the year. These opportunities are offered exclusively to individuals affiliated with ESC member institutions, including Ohio State.

Dr. Richard H. Linton is the 15th president of Kansas State University, serving in the role since February 2022. At Kansas State, Linton has led the creation and implementation of Next-Gen K-State, a strategic plan that will guide the university through 2030 and beyond.

To support and promote high-impact engaged scholarship, the Office of Outreach and Engagement has instituted a process to certify Programs of Excellence in Engaged Scholarship. The certification process seeks to identify and certify projects annually that demonstrate excellence in community engaged scholarship and meet the criteria of high-impact engaged scholarship.
