Strategic Doing 301: Leading Complex Collaborations

In this 2.5 day training, participants will learn how to guide and accelerate complex collaborations in non-hierarchical networks. Strategic Doing enables people to cross organizational and political boundaries to form action-oriented collaborations quickly, move them toward measurable outcomes, and make the inevitable adjustments along the way. Broader Impacts Workshop

The Center for Applied Plant Sciences is sponsoring a Broader Impacts Workshop for the CAPS community. The workshop will be facilitated by trainers from the National Alliance for Broader Impacts. Priority placement will be given to current CAPS members, TPS fellows, PIs and postdocs.

Archiving and Sharing Data

In this 1.5 hour in-person session, we focus on the last part of the data management cycle: preparing data for sharing data outside of the research team, depositing data into repositories, and archiving. Amanda Rinehart will discuss the difference between archiving and sharing, when and what to share, best practices for protecting respondent confidentiality, and how to find an appropriate repository. Jessica Logan will share her experience with depositing Sit Together and Read data sets into the ICPSR repository and provide best practices on how to get data ready to be deposited.
