Overview

As a flagship land-grant institution, Ohio State recognizes its responsibility to support mutually-beneficial community-university partnerships. Ohio State engages in community event sponsorships to develop meaningful partnerships that support community-based non-profit organizations thereby fulfilling its responsibility to further the public good for the citizens and institutions of Ohio. Ohio State is pleased to provide its support to external events that:

• Align with the mission of the university and those of its colleges or units;
• Are relevant across the university;
• Enhance the quality of life and meaningful partnerships in the local community; and
• Raise the profile of the university within the community.

The majority of sponsorship support will be directed to events that support the University's core goals: teaching and learning; research and innovation; and outreach and engagement.

Examples of Prior Community Event Sponsorships

We are mindful that community event sponsorships must align with our university mission and goals, and support those of our colleges and units.
