About Outreach and Engagement

Engagement involves solving societal challenges through meaningful partnerships between faculty, staff, students, and the people and institutions of Ohio, the nation, and the world. These partnerships foster greater integration of university and community resources, leading to enhanced efficiency and impact.

Ohio State has three strategic focus areas to help faculty, staff and students:

  • Build the capacity of their engagement efforts
  • Coordinate and facilitate engagement initiatives
  • Communicate and advocate for activities that exemplify the meaning of engagement
